Experienced shark cage diving during our vacation trip to South Africa in 2013. We took a day trip from Cape Town to Gansbaai. Gansbaai is about 2-hour drive from Cape Town. The tour operator organized a minibus for people like us from our hotel to the venue where we boarded a boat to venture into the sea.
On reaching a place called as Shark Alley (which is a channel of water between two islands: Dyer Island and Geyser Rock); a cage was lowered down in the sea adjoining the boat. We entered the cage wearing snorkels and witnessed the big white sharks from close quarters. Needless to add it was an amazing experience of seeing the Great White Sharks at such close quarters
