ideaForge is a pioneer in the Unmanned Aerial Systems segment in India, developing class-leading, indigenous UAVs for surveillance, reconnaissance, imagery and industrial applications.
My 6-week internship lasted from 10/Dec/2018 to 18/Jan/2019 at ideaForge. I was part of the team creating an EVP (engineering validation prototype) of a sub-system (cannot share details due to confidentiality reasons).
I worked on creating the CAD model on Fusion 360; fabricating the parts and assembling it. Alongside this, I also created the electronics setup to drive the mechanical assembly.
I designed and 3d printed the parts and designed the components for CNC milling.
I understood the different stages of a product development lifecycle (EVP => DVP => Production).
